We have decided to move back to the country. We are the second owners of this premium quality home located on Woods Edge Golf Course. Although this house was built in 1990, the architect incorporated passive solar into the design with a wall of south-facing windows that not only allow a great golf course view, but bring in lots of sunshine in the winter. With the new heat pump and solar, this is a very efficient house to heat and cool for its size. 

We were skeptical of the cedar siding when we bought the house, but had it professionally redone two years ago and as you can see from the pictures, it still looks good. The contractor said it should last 5-7 years without needing re-treatment. Quite frankly, we were doubtful of that at the time, but it seems to have aged well. BTW, the deck is composite and has been maintenance-free.

The house could still use some updating, paint, fixtures, and the like, but the heavy lifting should be done. The lumberyard that supplied the materials for this home back in 1990 said it would cost between $450 and $500,000 to build it today. That fact along with its overall condition and the location would make it seem to be a great value for the asking price.
